SETUP

Diagrama segmentos

Figure x: Diagram for spatial structure and device setup

Segmento´s spatial strategy developed around the materialization of four abstract lines. These where presented as metal beams with lenghts corresponding to two horizontal and two vertical distances between points in the room: floor to ceiling, floor to top of the plaster wall, back and front walls and distance between side walls. The light projection presented another cluster of lines: visual augmentation of the type of fabric produced in that space prior to its use as a gallery space. These lines where subjected to a dematerialization process.

ACTIVATION

TEMPORAL-DIAGRAM-SEGEMENTOS

Figure x: Temporal macrostructure

Segmento´s temporal organization was structured in a sequence of four parts corresponding to different dsp (granulation / Additive clicks + Additive drone ) which transformed the sonic background of a continuous improvisation with direct manipulation of the cello resonating in the four external objects.

Part 1
00:00 : Starts improvisation with direct resonance in external objects
01:30 : Additive drone
06:30 : fade out Additive drone

Part 2
07:30 : Granulation
10:55 : Granulation + Additive drone

Part 3
12:20 : Granulation + Additive drone + Additive clicks
14:33 : Granulation + Transformation of Additive drone + Additive clicks
16:25 : Granulation + Starts fade out of Additive drone + Additive clicks // Ends direct manipulation of cello (improvisation) // Starts preparation of installation with Granulation + Additive clicks
19:40 : Ends concert

Part 4
20:00 : starts installation period
